May the dreams come true?

I’ve never been the one to step out; well really I’ve always been the one to stand in the back and listen to others. Right out of high school I decided to change.  High School was a hard time for me socially, I did have my best friends but that was about it. My friends of 8-plus years and when it came to meeting new people it just did not happen.  Nerves, first impressions, and judgment my worst fears, although the first 2 weeks have pasted at Hallmark, not once have I had a hard time meeting people. My high school fear is gone, but I really think I am ready to step into a new pair of shoes, I can’t risk the chance of being shy and missing out on opportunities.
Let me tell you I’m feeling really good about this pair of shoes. I have the chance to now show all this new progresses in my work. This could make me into the person I feel I am, and a person I want to become. I need to follow this dream, this passion, and this new way of life.

I took this image the first weekend with the Canon Mark II 5D at Magic Wings Butterfly conservatory and gardens in Deerfield, MA

First Assignment

Here it is, one of my first assignments due at Hallmark. The assignment was to represent Freedom and Confinement.

Days of thought went into both of these images. One thing I learned was never to fully plan a shoot. First off it did not go as planned, one thing or another went wrong. Another thing I learned is just to embrace the change of the plan. I took advice from my family on the first shots, then I spent anther day shooting these two and it turned out I liked the new revised photos then my perfectly planned images. Lesson one learned on assignment one, now only 9 and a half months more of lessons and wrong going.

Note: Current favorite photography Eye Candy/Inspiration is Sally Mann, I’ve never felt so in touch and intimate with any other art piece as I do with her images. You can see into the soul of everything she capturers
